I, my 17 year old self, quite in-experienced in real estate and unfortunately still without a coffee- find this entire encounter quite suspicious and decide to inform my sailing sister that the real estate have come and performed a routine inspection. Due to limited cell service whilst sailing it is over 24 hours later when I discover that:

Only received an apology from real estate when I personally went to their office and spoke to them. Overall poor customer service in all aspects of my dealings with David Millar real estate and I hope they can learn from this mistake.

I would like to share my lovely experience with David Millar real estate that occurred on the 21/09/17. At roughly 9:30, 10 minutes or so after I had woken up there is a knock on my door- I use the term "my" loosely as I am currently house sitting for my beautiful sister as she is sailing in the Whitsundays- upon answering the door I greet a respectfully dressed woman holding an iPad who rather than greeting me back demands I lock my two dogs outside of the house. Confused as to who this woman is and why she thinks she can turn up and make demands I contemplate questioning her motives but in my sleep befuddled state I comply knowing that some people can be intimidated by the dogs. Returning to the door I ask the lady how I can be of service to which I am informed that she is here to complete a routine inspection. Routine inspection I enquire? How strange that this wasn't mentioned to me when I agreed to house sit however I do not know for sure how the property is handled so I agree, still somewhat confused however. The woman then proceeds to take pictures of rooms inside the house while I inform her that i was not aware of any routine inspections and as a result had not had the chance to clean the house properly. The lady also asks which one of the dogs is a carer dog for a mysterious woman who I inform the lady I have never heard of nor does she live here. Once taking pictures of the inside of the house she refrains from going outside to inspect more of the property and is also unaware of the downstairs section of the house after I kindly offer for her to see the rooms downstairs, her reply being "whats down there". Following this the lady then leaves the property and is not to be seen again.

Unfortunately as I mentioned this was over 24 hours later so now I sit here wondering why the lady- who by the way realised she went to the wrong house and returned later that day to complete the actual routine inspection- did not feel the need to apologise for demanding entry to my home and taking numerous photographs.

At this point I am very paranoid, why did this woman come into my house pretending to be real estate? Why did this woman take pictures of the inside of said house? Is she canvassing the house? How did she know that the actual tenants were not home? Questions like these are swirling around my mind as quickly head to the neighbours home to ask if the same woman had come knocking at their door. It is at this stage I discover that the woman at my door is actually a real estate agent who has mistakenly come to the wrong house, 2 doors down. PHEW right? No need to mount sharpened stakes to the balcony and lock myself in the house.
