  Although originally very friendly and helpful, the usher at a performance discriminated my 13 year old daughter in a wheelchair who was not in any way shape or form being a disturbance by telling us that we could originally sit in a particular location. Halfway through the show, we were asked to either move her to be sitting by herself or get out of the chair and sit in the seat which would not have changed her position or height in any way. Already an emotional rollercoaster watching her friends and sister on-stage, what gives?

  Great to see the arts are being celebrated both on the stage and local artists. Yes the Gallery is back and running! I must say this is worth a visit open everyday at The Event Center.

  This is a great venue. The sound and the lighting is awesome. I always appreciate cooling air conditioning and this venue has it although the foyer can get hot in the late afternoons. The comfortable seating is a blessing after a long day at work.

  We had a wonderful night at the theatre, enjoyed the high quality settings and the performance immensely. After the show however, we wanted to spend time with our friends who where acting in this show so one of the prominent people involved with the production invited the audience to the only bar still open at this venue. We purchased drinks and were having a lovely time when we were told quite sternly to leave as that bar was for another event. I said, but we have paid for our drinks ($8 a pop), we did not presume to use the tab that was for this other event. This lady stuck to her guns, even though we weren't taking up much room and there was but a tiny smattering of people in this space from the other event. So your loss; we would have happily stayed on, purchasing your $8 drinks, quietly chatting in the far corner. Instead, we were banished to the street as though we had been behaving appallingly. I will certainly have great hesitations in going back to the Caloundra Event Centre after being treated so disrespectfully.
