  I purchased the laptop cheap due to the fact someone's kids broke the ports. They first refused stating that the ports were on the motherboard (they weren't) and then quoted me $815 or so to install the new board.

  I have been to Smile IT on about 4 occasions and each time have met experienced, friendly, helpful service and for technical know-how, they're second to none in my view (in one instance surpassing the know-how of an Apple Store "genius bar"). Having read some of the reviews below, I can't help but disagree - their service is excellent and knowledge is outstanding, couldn't wish for more, especially in Caloundra! Thanks Smile IT

  I have over 20 years computing experience but due to an injury I don't have the dexterity to do laptops. Gave it to a mate and he knocked the job out in 30 minutes. He's been using it ever since.

  Was a good costumer by Smile it before. Lap top would not start .got it to Smile it in Caloundra . told me is 60 dollar . result was saltwater damage after 2 years. And on pickup off laptop the want to charge an extra 40 dollar for closing it because i wouldn't buy a new laptop from them . I refused so the gave me just a bag full off parts. you lost me as costumer and I was to buy a new laptop and MAC in a few months time . Will tell everybody i know very bad practice you should tell people upfront about cost. Regards Peter

  There is NO customer service, still waiting for my computer to be fixed, dropped it in on the 2nd of February. They said it needed a new motherboard and was half an hour to fit. I had to source and provide the board for them! That was a fortnight ago. To date I have had to chase them, Thank god my business does not rely solely on that computer!

  Took a Toshiba laptop in with the exact board needed to replace the USB ports. The manufacturers repair diagrams showed the part number matched and that the USB board was seperate to the motherboard.

  I have on principal waited for them to contact me with regards as what needs to be done, I got sick of chasing them. I have not heard from them, They have no skills in customer service or relations, they are IT guys, that have had my computer for far too long! I have not heard from them since I gave them the new motherboard!

  Extremely knowledgeable and thorough. I've had computer and software issues with my dental office since purchasing it five years ago. Seth and his team cleaned everything up and have corrected any issues that have been lingering. I have no reservations about switching my IT problems over to smile IT.

  I found it disgusting considering they are an authorised Toshiba service centre and clearly don't know the laptops.
